Project Examples

Requirements

Potential projects include:

Do you have a research question that can be answered through qualitative research methods (i.e., interviews, focus groups, surveys with open-ended questions)?

For example, are you interested in assessing needs, successes, barriers of clients/the organization, or gaining an understanding of perspectives, experiences of clients or members of your organization?

Tell us about your project interest/focus and student will use qualitative research methods in Sociology to answer your research question.

Students will design the research project on areas of interest and need, execute the project (i.e., apply for and receive ethics approval through MacEwan’s Research Ethics Committee, collect and analyze the data), and present the findings to the community partner through a research paper and oral presentation.
