The goal is to inventory and analyze existing media assets, identify untapped resources, and pinpoint relevant talking points to generate digital content and press releases. In the short term, the project aims to raise the profile of the upcoming MIT Reality Hack event in January 2025, thereby demonstrating value to potential sponsors and attracting participants. In the medium to longer term, the project will develop a plan for engagement immediately before, during, and after the event. The MIT Reality Hack is a community-driven XR hackathon that promotes creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, emphasizing accessibility, diversity, and open-source creation.

Key tasks include:
- Inventory and analysis of current media assets.
- Identification of untapped media resources and relevant talking points for the public and corporate market audience.
- Development of a short-term digital content and press release drafts.
- Creation of a medium to long-term engagement plan for the MIT Reality Hack event for stakeholders, participants, and the public.
The project will result in the following deliverables:
- A comprehensive inventory and analysis report of existing media assets.
- A list of untapped media resources and relevant talking points.
- A short-term digital content and press release strategy to raise the profile of the January 2025 MIT Reality Hack event.
- A medium to long-term engagement plan for the event, detailing strategies for engagement before, during, and after the event.
Learners will meet with the Executive Director 1-2 times per week and will have continuous access to our team via Discord. We will make ourselves available for extended working sessions or to provide guidance and help locate data and relevant internal assets.

About the company
MIT Reality Hack is a community-driven ecosystem for experiential technology, encompassing VR/AR, AI, and emerging technology otherwise known as "deep tech". It is run by volunteers and the Reality Hack Organization 501c3, along with the student organization VR/AR@MIT. It aims to educate and empower individuals to engage in the XR industry, offering presentations, tech workshops, and networking opportunities for participants with diverse backgrounds.
The event focuses on fostering creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, promoting an inclusive culture that values accessibility, diversity, and open-source creation.
