newsletters blogs research advertisementHere at Paradise Skis, we build our products to have as minimal impact on the environment as possible. The main issue we face in the ski/snowboarding industry is that people generally have a low idea of the environmental impact of partaking in the sports. We want to help promote knowledge about environmental impacts within the ski and snowboard industry, educate the public on how they can minimize environmental impact when partaking in the sports, and research ways we can improve as a company. We also want to find groups and organizations we can work with on sustainability initiatives.
We are asking our learners to create:
- Ad Campaigns based on sustainability to educate the public on our sustainability initiatives.
- Sustainability Campaigns focused on what the public can do to lower their environmental footprint when partaking in skiing or snowboarding. This would include ads, newsletters, blogs, and social media posts.
- Research into new materials that could be used in ski/snowboard production or delivery.
- Grant Applications towards sustainability-focused grants.
- Creating a charity event with a sustainability-based environmental group.
The successful applicants will have full access to any technology, information, data, or content needed for them to complete their tasks. We will schedule regular meetings either in person or online to assist, guide, and mentor. We don't have an office and work from home most of the time - however, we do often meet up and work together.
The learners will connect directly with Ethan (Head of Marketing and Sales) as their main point of contact, but will also be able to connect with Cameron (CEO and Head Product Designer).
We're an easy-going company seeking self-starters who want to get involved in a very unique and fun industry! We have an open-door (e-door) policy and encourage people to ask questions.

About the company
Paradise was started a dream to create incredibly fun skis and snowboards go anywhere, do anything, and last long enough to hand down to your grandkids. Started by a pair of ex-mechanical engineers out of a garage, Paradise has stuck to its bootstrap approach and continues to push the boundaries of what is possible when it comes to ski and snowboard design. By continuously questioning how we can improve, Paradise prides itself on looking for out-of-the-box solutions to age-old design problems; with no outside ownership, we don't have anyone telling us what to do.
Since completing his honours thesis in ski and snowboard design nearly 10 years ago, CEO and founder Cameron Brodrick has continued to trial new shapes, materials, processes, and construction techniques. And while not everything makes it to the presses, the years of design iterations have resulted in some of the most fun skis and boards on the market. With plenty more incredible concepts in the Paradise Dream Lab and in testing, we're looking forward to the future!
Since its conception, Paradise has grown by focusing on grassroots marketing, supporting local athletes, and prioritizing customer support. Putting people over profits has created a loyal brand following, support from world-class retailers, and forged lasting relationships in the industry. We are proudly Canadian, based in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The terrain in Western Canada, our playground, is rugged, unforgiving, and often steep and deep. As we continue to expand into international markets, we are excited to share our passion for creating durable, high-quality products with skiers and boarders who are looking to get the most out of their gear.
