website builder website optimizationJust be Woodsy aims to enhance its online presence by developing a user-friendly webpage dedicated to workshop registrations. The current challenge is to streamline the registration process, allowing potential participants to easily view available workshop schedules and sign up. The webpage should efficiently pool interested individuals around specific dates, ensuring that workshops are only green-lighted when a minimum number of participants is reached. This project provides an opportunity for learners to apply their web development skills, focusing on user interface design, backend integration, and database management. The goal is to create a seamless experience for users, encouraging more sign-ups and optimizing workshop scheduling.
- Develop a webpage for workshop registration.
- Display available workshop schedules.
- Implement a system to pool participants and confirm workshops.
- Ensure the webpage is user-friendly and integrates with existing systems *we are currently hosted on Shopify, so knowledge of liquid could be key!
The project deliverables include a fully functional webpage that allows users to register for workshops, view schedules, and receive confirmation once a workshop is green-lighted. The webpage should be integrated with Just be Woodsy's existing website and database, ensuring smooth operation and data management.

Small Business Family-Owned Sustainable/green Social Enterprise Public benefit corporation (pbc) Community-FocusedWe are on a mission to make better use of fallen trees in Toronto. Instead of seeing these century old trees chipped for mulch, we are transforming them into beautiful pieces ideal for Toronto Spaces. Celebrating the trees that form the fabric of our City and helping us reconnect with the Urban Forest. We are a call to action to build a better system.
We work with the City Forestry, local arborists, the University of Toronto and Toronto Community Housing to return logs that would otherwise be ground into wood chips back to the place in which they came. Tracking the logs and passing on the provenance of the tree by engraving onto each piece.
