Details

Musey seeks to enhance its Knowledge Hub by developing an engaging multimedia module that highlights the historical and cultural significance of Sri Lankan craftsmanship, with a focus on sustainability. The project aims to digitize artifacts, create interpretive content, and design an interactive virtual exhibit. This initiative will showcase non-Eurocentric narratives in sustainable fashion, emphasizing traditional Sri Lankan textile and craft practices. By doing so, the project will deepen public appreciation for these practices and support Musey's mission to promote sustainable and ethical fashion. The project provides an opportunity for learners to apply their skills in digital content creation, cultural research, and multimedia design.

Deliverables

The project will deliver a comprehensive multimedia module for Musey’s Knowledge Hub. This includes digitized artifacts, interpretive content, and an interactive virtual exhibit. The deliverables will be a fully functional online exhibit, complete with multimedia elements that highlight the sustainability and cultural significance of Sri Lankan craftsmanship. Additionally, a detailed report documenting the research and design process will be provided.
