Details

Utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS) tools, participants will analyze different types of data, such as offshore wind energy potential along the Portuguese coastline, as well as seasonal weather impacts on commercial aviation and maritime shipping, including across the autonomous regions of Portugal: Madeira and the Azores.



Deliverables

Participants will assess and map wind and solar energy potential for Portugal and geospatial data for the site-selection of power plants.


Participants will generate charts of historical annualized seasonal weather patterns and impacts on commercial aviation traffic as well as commercial containerized maritime supply chains.


Participants are encouraged to allow end users to view and cross-tabulate data rendered in a variety of simplified and intuitive dashboards.

Mentorship

Access to big data relevant to project.

Opportunity to present final project to CEO, CMO, and CFO.
