Our mission is mental health
NAMI Alameda County South’s Mission is to empower individuals with mental illness and their caregivers to facilitate recovery to the extent of their ability.
We provide classes for caregivers of someone with a mental illness, classes for those with a mental illness so that they may be able to manage their illness better, and, recovery presentations for those who are hospitalized in acute care psychiatric hospitals, and others.

WordPress Application for NAMI Connection
The main goal of the project is to develop a WordPress application for NAMI Alameda County South that will allow participants to select support group leaders and also have the ability to charge and collect fees for service from other NAMI organizations that provide program leaders. This will involve several different steps for the learners, including: - Understanding the specific requirements and functionalities needed for the WordPress application. - Designing the user interface and user experience for the application. - Developing the backend functionality for selecting support group leaders and processing service fees. - Testing the application for usability, functionality, and security. - Deploying the application to the NAMI Alameda County South website and providing training for administrators.
NAMI Alameda County South Fundraising and Community Outreach Campaign
The main goal for the project is to manage a nonprofit's fundraising and community outreach campaign for NAMI Alameda County South. This will involve managing the local components of a national walk event with the promotion starting on March 10, 2024, and the walk taking place on Oct 5, 2024. The project will require adherence to national guidelines and coordination with national walk managers.
