EmpowHERto Website Redesign Initiative
EmpowHERto, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young women, seeks to enhance its online presence through a comprehensive website redesign. The current website lacks user engagement and modern design elements, which hinders its ability to effectively communicate its mission and attract potential supporters. The goal of this project is to create a visually appealing, user-friendly, and informative website that aligns with EmpowHERto's brand identity. The redesigned website should improve navigation, incorporate responsive design for mobile users, and integrate social media platforms to increase outreach. Additionally, the project will focus on optimizing the website for search engines to enhance visibility and attract more visitors. This initiative will provide learners with the opportunity to apply their web design and development skills in a real-world context, enhancing their understanding of user experience and digital marketing strategies.
EmpowHERto Employee Training Development Program Project
Project Goal: EmpowHERto is looking to empower our volunteers and employees with an enhanced training program that provides them with the tools they need to succeed. By developing a structured, accessible online onboarding and training system, we aim to streamline the onboarding process and ensure every new team member feels equipped and informed about our mission and tools. Specifically, we’d like this project to include two main components: Video Tutorials for Monday.com – Practical video guides that demonstrate how to use Monday.com for daily tasks. Mini-Course on EmpowHERto – An interactive course that educates new team members on EmpowHERto’s mission, programs, values, and culture. Tasks and Steps for Students: To achieve these goals, students will complete the following tasks: Analyze the Current Training and Onboarding Process Review our current onboarding resources and identify key areas where training is needed for both employees and volunteers. Outline what essential information and tools new employees need to succeed at EmpowHERto. Develop Training Modules and Structure Design a structure for the training program, dividing it into segments or modules (e.g., Introduction to EmpowHERto, Using Monday.com, Understanding Our Programs and Culture). Define content for each module, keeping it concise and user-friendly. Research Platforms for Onboarding Automation Explore different e-learning and course platforms that could host our training modules (e.g., Thinkific, Moodle, or other cost-effective options). Provide recommendations on which platforms would best suit our training needs, budget, and ease of use for volunteers and employees. Create Video Tutorials and Course Content Produce video tutorials for key tools like Monday.com, showing how to complete common tasks. Develop content for an EmpowHERto course that provides an overview of our organization’s mission, core programs, workplace culture, and values. Create a Culture and Values Segment Include a specific module on EmpowHERto’s values and workplace culture, ensuring new team members understand and align with our mission.
