North Carolina High School Robotics Competition Framework
The TMT Youth Community Foundation is seeking to develop a comprehensive framework for a statewide high school robotics competition in North Carolina, specifically targeting Tier 1 and Tier 2 counties. These areas are economically disadvantaged and underserved in STEM education, making it crucial to create opportunities for youth engagement in robotics. The project aims to design strategies, toolkits, and digital systems that will make robotics accessible to students in rural and low-resource communities. By focusing on inclusivity and accessibility, the goal is to establish a replicable competition model that not only increases participation but also fosters long-term STEM education pipelines. This initiative will empower students, enhance their problem-solving skills, and inspire future careers in STEM fields.
TMT OTT Partnership Program Launch Support
The TMT Youth Community Foundation is preparing to officially launch its OTT Partnership Program, aimed at fostering a global storytelling movement. The project seeks to enhance the program's marketing, digital communications, user onboarding, and operational strategies. Students will have the opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge in digital media, social entrepreneurship, marketing, and operations to real-world scenarios. The goal is to create a cohesive and effective launch plan that resonates with diverse audiences and supports the program's objectives. This project will provide students with valuable cross-cultural experience and insights into the digital media landscape, while contributing to a meaningful initiative that empowers young storytellers worldwide.
TMT Youth Community Foundation Transition Plan
The TMT Youth Community Foundation is undergoing a strategic transformation to relaunch as a Community Development Corporation (CDC). This project aims to develop a comprehensive transition plan that aligns with the foundation's new objectives and community-focused mission. The goal is to ensure a smooth transition by identifying key areas of change, such as governance structure, community engagement strategies, and funding models. Learners will apply their knowledge of organizational development and community planning to create actionable strategies that support the foundation's new role as a CDC. The project will involve researching best practices in community development, analyzing the foundation's current operations, and proposing a roadmap for the transition. This project provides an opportunity for learners to engage with real-world challenges in nonprofit management and community development.
Community Educators Program – Turning Lived Experience into Curriculum
The Community Educators Program (CEP) is a transformative initiative developed by the TMT Youth Community Foundation. Its mission is to help community leaders, creatives, cultural workers, and professionals turn their lived experience and intellectual property into high-quality curriculum — designed for emerging micro-schools, learning pods, and alternative education spaces. With public education facing defunding and systemic challenges (such as North Carolina’s education vouchers and Governor Cooper’s declared education emergency), CEP exists to empower local voices in reimagining education — especially for underserved communities. This project invites students to collaborate with real-life cohort members of the Community Educators Program to co-develop curriculum content, conduct market research, design educational assets, or document the impact of community-based education models.
